A Berry That Slams

This Weeks Guest Dominic Berry

And we're back again!

There's no getting rid of us just yet, in fact with the way our tweets are going you'll probably be hearing from us a lot more. Just a reminder we are @artstreet1 if you want to give us a follow.

We may be locked down in some areas, but this street has been OLAK (Online Air Kissing) its great no mask needed, and we adore the people we are talking to.

The thing is about the arts and everyone's energies within it; tap dancers, fire eaters, opera singers whoever - they all need to create.

Artists can create something from nothing you probably don't want to argue with one!

Who’s in the streets hot seat?

Jen had the best time this week interviewing another Berry and he definitely wasn’t blue. Dominic as his mother calls him, is an award-winning poet, in fact, he won 2020 Saboteur award for this year’s Best-Spoken Word Artist

I mean, this little belter perches itself nicely on his cv next to Glastonbury Festival Poet in Residence which he was also re-booked for this year. Check out the brilliant online work they’ve done this year: https://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk

Dom has also toured different countries with his poetry, he specialises in writing for children and is featured on TV and this is only a summary of his word wizardry. Well done Dom! You can contact this ever-smiling energetic berry here: https://dominicberry.net

Reviews and banter

As well as another awesome guest, Carl went on his travels. Have you seen the pictures he was teasing Jen with – have a look at the poetry shop and The Hay Festival of Literature & Arts better known as the Hay Festival

How jammy was he to catch a family break at Jen’s dream destination? Have a look at our Instagram @Wordonourstreet.

Carl updates us and makes Jen even more jealous, the street has to get coverage on this next year.

Jen & Carl brought a bit of comedy into their lives. Have you come across Bo Burnham?

A mixture of mediums brought together in a one-man comedy show – it was a cross between stand-up comedy, rap and an extract out of Jen’s diary – weird!

Carl also re-visits his childhood, a thing he’s done a lot of in lockdown along with home-schooling. He re-reads ‘Animal Farm’ – listen to what he now thinks about it as an adult ( He’s still a kid really).
