What is the number one fact about this podcast?
Now if you were a loyal listener you would know. If you are not, no worries there's still bags of time (subscribe after reading this 😉) we are only up to week 8 and we're one busy street.
The number one fact is this: We Jenny Berry and Carl Royle want to use this platform to engage people in art, we are determined to make it more accessible to everyone. The more we shift the snootiness the easier the stigma will fade away that 'art isn't for me'.
The range and level of talent out they're is unbelievable, and by out there we mean worldwide man. We are hooking up zoom chats to all kinds of artists and we are loving it.
Times are strange and as for artists it's tough BUT it isn't impossible and we believe this time gives us a chance to show just how determined and creative we can all be as artists. This weeks guests are on fire! Literally, some of them set themselves alight and they're not arsonists either.

Who's In The Seat This Week?
Michael Diamond is a sideshow artist.
Jen got very excited about this interview apparently she'd like to eat fire! Carl thinks she probably already has at some point but would never let on.
Well, Michael was indeed his own name - a proper diamond. He was extraordinary and ever so lovely - he and many other people around the globe do things like set themselves alight, eat swords and many other weird and wonderful things AND manage to bag a wage from having a right laugh. The street salutes the bravery or craziness of these artists. Michael is actually Carls pal and shares some funny tales.
In this weeks show for the first time mix it up a little and have a second guest. We bring some African Beats to the table and boy did we love this vibe. Pheropizzle interviewed via zoom all the way from Nigeria, he was an absolute star. As he chilled in his home on his mobile zoom, he tells us all about his music career and how he's looking forward to coming back over to the UK next year (covid depending). His new tune 'No Cap' has been dropped, we have a little banter over the term and a right good chat. We are just is grateful for worldwide guests and look forward to meeting him in person next year at some point.
Art Farty Reviews
Mrs Lowry & Son was discussed, the film was released in 2019 and apparently took 10 years to make. Beloved British artist L.S. Lowry (Timothy Spall) lived all his life with his over-bearing mother Elizabeth (Vanessa Redgrave). Bed-ridden and bitter, Elizabeth actively tried to dissuade her bachelor son from pursuing his artistic ambitions, whilst never failing to voice her opinion at what a disappointment he was to her.
Both Carl & Jen give opinions and eyebrows, could a street fight be about to break out - tune in and see.
Jen performs a poem one of her oldies - and a favourite amongst the inmates she’s worked with. Also this one could make a show in her poetry book due out at the end of this year, all based on the prison system and her experiences. (She hasn’t mentioned this has she?)
This Weeks Artist
We play out with Aphropizzle and his new tune ’No Cap’ we give him 5 eyebrows and wish him all the luck in the world. Find him on @pheropizzle
