Carl & Jen have been on a few more road trips - this street is getting fuller by the day. It's actually becoming a drop-in for the best talent around.
Now not to show off or anything but let's just say that recently one of our guests was right up our street.
Well, she was actually from a different street -one which carries more history than ours. Put it this way the street I'm talking about has cobbles and character galore. Know what I'm talking about?
Sorry, we are giving nothing away until that episode. 😹
So this week in the pod we've had a right mix of the arts, mainly from Carl to be honest. Jen is beginning to think that he lives in a secret library because over lockdown he has swapped breakfast for books! Which is only a good thing and great for the waistline?
This Weeks Guest
We had the inspirational beauty Vicky Nolan sat on the street this week. Jen was gutted she couldn't make this interview but Carl did a cracker over zoom.
Vicky is an amazing singer, her story is so powerful and relevant with the pressures of today's world that our younger society has upon their shoulders about 'making it'. I mean how do you measure success anyway, is there a ruler for it?
Well, Vicky got scouted and got her lucky break and then all hell let loose and the battle got legal and this was when she was still at school. Her book: 'Unfound Songstress' takes you on her journey, capturing her thoughts and experiences of what making it did for her. It's brilliant! Buy it here -

Both Jen & Carl discuss the smash hit show Mrs Browns Boys. Now, this is marmite but the street has some funny opinions on it & Jen has seen the musical. Are you a Marmite lover?
If you do not know what we are on about we suggest you get the first-ever series to catch up: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mrs-Browns-Boys-Season-1/dp/B00FZT1YVA
Carl has been busy in his library and talks to us about Eight detectives Alex Pavesi apparently a very different crime novel. https://amzn.to/3hKAMm2
Bob Marley in The UK is also discussed amongst the usual silliness and banter that Jen and Carl.
Song to Playout with
We play out with one of Vicky's brilliant tracks- You Look Good In Love. She really is a superstar and always will be on this street.
